Switch Provider
Save Money by Changing your Electricity provider. Finally, you can choose an electricity company that offers a better rate than you are getting now. Just as in the UK, we are able to connect consumers to lower cost alternatives saving them money on their electricity bills. Our clients typically see savings of 10 – 30% off their monthly bills!
Is there a charge?
No! Handling the switch from your current provider to the new “free market” company is free. For subsequent switches, as the market changes and better offers become available and for managing your account (acting as a bridge between you and the electricity company) there is a six monthly charge of €18.90 plus IVA. This is collected by direct debit in advance.

How long will it take to swap providers?
This is the only part of the process that we have no control. From the point of signing, you should expect to receive two further bills from your current provider before the switch over is completed.

Can I switch to another electrical supplier, or cancel my service at any time?
Yes. We are confident that you will not find an electricity supplier offering rates lower than ours however, you may switch or cancel your service at any time with no penalty, we only ask for 30 days notice in writing (email or fax is fine).

Dual Tariff
There has never been a better time to switch to the dual tariff with a free market provider. Historically, the peak-rate charges have been significantly higher than the standard 24/7 rate – but this isn’t the case any longer.
Firstly, you need a new Smart Meter, it records your usage through the peak and off-peak periods. There are 14 hours of off-peak time per day, from late evening until the middle of the following day. This is when you can use electricity for less than half the normal rate.
Substantial reductions
Anything you consume during off-peak times is charged at more than 50% discount. Most people who use this system typically see around 20 to 25% savings on their bills which over the year, represents a huge saving.
Things we use all day long like fridges and freezers also provide cost savings, although power used in the peak-time is charged a little higher than normal, the massive reduction for the remaining 14 hours more than compensates for any additional charge.
Other benefits
The problem with choosing this tariff is – you don’t actually know how much you can benefit until you try it.
Give Iberswitch a call with a recent bill to hand. They can make a comparison and tell you what your bill would have been had you already switched to the dual tariff.
Alternatively, fill in the boxes below and you will receive your personalised comparison shortly.
